Handyman needed for busy Property Management Company

Hello and Welcome!

QDC, INC (DBA JRealty), headquartered in Manhattan Beach, office in Gardena, is a small but quickly growing property management, leasing, and sales company.  We currently lease or manage +200 units, most of which are single family homes in Los Angeles County.  We are looking to immediately hire 1 full time employee who will work out of our Gardena office.

The ideal candidate MUST:

·         be extremely polite, kind, easy to work with

·         present a warm, friendly demeanor

·         be flexible and able to work in a somewhat chaotic environment where priorities change

·         have a terrific “no problem” attitude

The ideal candidate has strong proficiency with most of the following:

·         Plumbing

·         Electrical

·         Carpentry

·         Painting

·         Flooring

·         Drywall

·         Concrete

·         Doors, windows, frames

Job duties will include:

·         Manage turn-over of units including:

o    Priming and painting units

o    Installing and cleaning carpets

o    Janitorial cleaning

o    Misc. handyman work

·         Communicate, schedule and coordinate work with Tenants, Landlords, and JRealty staff. 

·         Directly supervise assistants working on jobsites

·         Perform inspections of properties to check for maintenance problems, and complete required documentation

·         Handle various other tasks including installation of yard signs, taking pictures, and other job site tasks

·         Perform office related tasks including invoicing, scheduling appointments, billing, and more

·         Hauling & dump runs

The ideal candidate also has:

·         Ability to prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner.

·         Great communication skills.

·         A good problem solver

·         Use of a smartphone is desired. We need to be able to always communicate while you are on jobs.

·         Good ability to take pictures.

·         Must have a current and clean driving record.

·         Must have reliable transportation (ideally a small, 4 cylinder pickup truck)

·         Must be authorized to work in the United States

·         Must be able to speak, read, write, English extremely well

·         Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

·         Real estate experience is a plus
